Services
We provide standard and custom peptide synthesis, purification, and characterization. Standard synthesis requests are based on product yield while custom synthesis requests are performed on the 0.10 mmol or 0.25 mmol scales, yielding anywhere from single-digit milligrams to tens of milligrams of final purified material.
Our services are available à la carte or as complete syntheses, depending on the peptide sequence. The PPMC standard syntheses are typically sequences that self-assemble into coiled-coil bundlemer units. The main sequences that are currently being offered include:
- BNDL+4
- BNDL+4-Cys
- 4459
The following N-terminus modifications can also be made*:
- Acetylation
- Maleimide
*May have an affect on product yield in milligrams.
To request a peptide synthesis, use one of the two links below. Standard syntheses are requested from the growing catalog of offered sequences. If a sequence is not within our catalog of standard syntheses, then a custom peptide synthesis can be requested. Peptide sequences will often be added to the catalog of standard syntheses after a custom synthesis has been performed.
We also offer training and self-service use on some of our instrumentation, as well as project consultation. Technical service charges are added to full-service orders as needed.
Rigor and Reproducibility
The Peptide–Protein Materials Center uses standard operating procedures to produce peptide products. These general procedures are consistent from project to project and encompass the synthetic methods, purification, and characterization of the final material. Peptide products are provided to users along with liquid chromatography purity results and mass spectrometry confirmation for purified peptides. For requests that do not encompass purification, only mass spectrometry confirmation is provided.
